I have been a fused glass artist for several years. One of my interests has always been to enhance the fused glass jewelry that I design. To that end I examined the possibilities of combining Art Clay Silver with fused glass. The results are wonderful! I was so impressed with this product that I took several classes to learn all the options available with Art Clay. I am now a Master Instructor for Art Clay Silver.

What is Art Clay Silver? It is a pure precious metal (silver or gold) created in clay form using an organic binder and water. It comes in a variety of forms. Bulk clay can be purchased in 10, 20, 50 and 100-gram packages and has the most versatile use. The bulk clay can by molded, shaped, carved and designed into beautiful works of art. Other forms such as syringe, paste and paper type can be used individually or in combination with bulk clay to create unusual and unique designs.

When the clay is heated to a specific temperature and held there for a prescribed period of time, the water and binder burn away leaving a beautiful piece of pure silver jewelry. The finished piece is 99.9% pure silver, which will tarnish very little over time and is beautiful to wear.
